Grand Knights Message
January 2026
Cesare Lucido, Grand Knight

Dear Brother Knight, Sister Columbiettes, Family, and Friends,

As we begin 2026, many of us reflect on new resolutions and renewed promises. As Knights of Columbus, I ask that our resolution be rooted in faith—to remain steadfast in our dedication to God, our Church, and the principles of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity that define our Order. As we reach the halfway point of this fraternal year, I am truly humbled and grateful for the abundant blessings we have received. Through your faithful service and willingness to answer the call, we have been able to be Christ’s hands and feet, positively touching the lives of those in need. While the cold and dreary days of winter have arrived, our hearts remain on fire with the Holy Spirit. There is still much work to be done, and with God’s guidance, the strength of our brotherhood, and our trust in His plan, the spirit at Stolzenthaler continues to burn brighter than ever—ready to move forward in faith and service.

On December 13th, we held our Annual Coat Drive, organized by Jerry Scotti. This year, the drive took place at Mount Loretto in conjunction with the Food Pantry. With the generous assistance of the Columbiettes, we distributed six cases of coats, hats, and gloves to those in need. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the following volunteers for their time and dedication: PGK Pete Fyfe, PGK Dennis Maragliano, Philip DeVito, Rick Seamen, Paul Rotondo, Steve Flynn, Dan Staehs, Joe Fonavato, Dan DiLauro, Brian Cameron, Matt Leavy, and a special thank you to Dave Matula and Dave Jr. Matula for supplying the much-appreciated coffee. Thank you all for exemplifying the spirit of charity and service.

Our children’s “Breakfast with Santa” took place on December 13th, and was very well attended, with over 100 people celebrating the Christmas Season. The highlight of this event, as always, is the Nativity Pageant, closely followed by Santa’s arrival, and the always delicious breakfast. Special thanks to Warden Dan “Santa” DiLauro, and all those Knight volunteers, Crystal Image (Matt and Eddie) for the music, DGK Frank Tansey, PGK Bob Benoit, PGK Joe Muller, PGK Peter Pyfe, PGK Kevin Marshall, PGK Steve Dolan, Rich Scalise, Joe Vigiano, Nick Barberi, Joe DeTrano, Joe DiLauro and with the generous assistance of the Columbiettes, Vicki Porcelli, Dawn Benoit, Allison and Emily DiLauro, Barbara Dolan, Marie Fyfe.

On December 13th, we held our annual Stolzenthaler Christmas Party as we gathered in celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Chancellor Matthew Leavy expertly coordinated this wonderful evening of fellowship and brotherhood. The eggnog was a perfect ending to a joyful night shared in the spirit of Christmas. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this celebration a true reflection of Christ’s love, unity, and the joy of the season.

As we begin this new year, we place our trust in the Lord and offer Him our gratitude for the blessings of the past and our hope for the days ahead. May Christ be our guide in every decision, our strength in every challenge, and our purpose in all that we do. Let us move forward united in faith, committed to prayer, service, and charity, striving to reflect Christ’s love in our families, our parish, and our community. With God at the center of our lives, may this new year be one of renewed faith, deeper brotherhood, and faithful service to His will.

Fraternally Yours,
Cesare Lucido, Grand Knight .
