Grand Knights Message JuLy_august 2026 Frank Tansey, Grand Knight
Dear Brother Knight, Sister Columbiettes,
Family, and Friends,
Another Columbian Year has come and gone,
and with it many positive changes that give every indication that the Columbian
Year ’26-’27 will be a prosperous and productive year- One I am eagerly
anticipating. First, as your newly
elected Grand Knight I want to Graciously Thank each and every
member who has put their faith and trust in me to guide our council in another
year focused on Charitable Activities Improved Unity and pursuing these goals
with a strong sense of Fraternity. I am
following in the footsteps of Many Worthy Catholic Gentlemen from whom I have
learned countless invaluable lessons, and I hope to borrow liberally from the
Great Grand Knights who have come before me.
I truly appreciate the faith you have had in me and the trust you have
placed in me. I will strive daily to
make all of you proud.
First and foremost, on that list is our
immediate Past Grand Knight Cesare Lucido.
He has taken our Council to new heights in recruiting and membership and
financial sustainability and supporting charities both local, as well as at the
state, national and even international with contributions to incredible
programs such as, “Warriors to Lourdes”.
He has set the bar incredible high by leading us to our first Quadruple
Star Council Award! Through his
leadership and efforts, we have brought in 67 new members this year alone! Kudos Worthy Past Grand Knight Cesare
Lucido. Thank you for your faith,
friendship, guidance and encouragement.
It is the light that will help me guide this council along the bright
path you have blazed ahead. I am blessed
to be working elbow to elbow with Columbiette President Elect Marie Fyfe for the next
two years, and I could not think of a better leader to make all
of our
events and programs continue to improve and have a meaningful a nd
lasting impact on both of our memberships…Congratulations & Best of Luck
Marie!
As tradition holds, we ended our
Columbian Year in Prayer with our Family Rosary on 06/18/26. The attendance fell off slightly from the
previous meeting, but the faithful that attended lifted their voices fully to Heaven
with our Beautiful and Interactive Rosary Chain, led by Columbiettes Past
President Vickie Porcelli. It was a beautiful and spiritually uplifting
evening. Thank You to All who attended and helped make the last meeting of our
year a memorable one.
I hope to see as many of you as possible
at this very special Travis Fourth of July Parade in Celebration of our
Nation’s 250th Anniversary of our founding. We will be carrying the banner of Stolzenthaler
council and lending our voices and patriotism to this memorable event. Please bring friends and family and join your
brothers and sisters in this wonderful tradition. We will gather at the Showplace parking lot
between 11-11:30am ahead of local street closures. I look forward to marching together in
brotherhood.
